Well, if I'm not wrong, Facepunch made it so that your in game character is binded to your steam id, so you are stuck as your character forever. This makes sense, because none of really get to choose who we are, and it really doesn't affect gameplay in any meaningful way. You can still kill just as well, and you can build all the same. If it really bothers you that much, you should make an official suggestion and see if it gains some traction.

True, but unfortunately you will inevitably get a large amount of toxic players who, instead of bathing regularly, hunt nakeds on the coast while wearing full kit and rifles, and treat others worse over something they cannot control.

You are correct and upon these changes the main groups/people that complained about it were Russian the those from the transgender community. If character selection is such an issue then i think that says more about those individuals and not the game.

Main point being RP games or even social game all have AV makeover screens so you can choose what you look like. Love playing rust . Don't give a hoot who is behind the AV or Colour or Race we all fight for survival within the game . Just saying i would like the option to choose what i look like in game be it black white Asian, Male, Female, Or HAMSTER.

Tired of playing as a woman. Didn't care at first and it was kinda funny that my buddy is a black woman... But the laughs have worn off. I doubt I'll be playing this game much anymore. Shame... This could be such a simple fix but instead "You have to be a black woman or buy a new game and still possibly be a black woman"

You will quit the game because your avatar isnt the model you want? Hmm, are you sure you enjoyed the game to begin with? Because what you look like in game is barely related to the game at all.
