Rust
Facepunchs Terms Of Service saw you all coming ages ago....
Just a heads up to all those threatening legal action because their cheating devices are no longer allowed:

2.3. Technical requirements. Some Facepunch Services will have minimum requirements (e.g. minimum computer specifications or require an internet connection) and it is your responsibility to ensure you meet these requirements before downloading or using them. In order to protect Facepunch, Facepunch users and to enforce this Agreement, Facepunch may deploy anti-cheat and/or other software tools that run in the background of your device or related devices/peripherals when you use the Facepunch Services. We may patch, update or change the Facepunch Services over time at our discretion (e.g. to add or remove game features). This may result in mandatory and/or automatic updates, meaning older or un-updated versions may become unusable over time as a result. We may also stop supporting older devices/platforms over time, but we will use reasonable efforts to notify this to you in advance.

I don't have any of those mice and I say their TOS is complete bullsh!t. Once a game is released (developement of the game is finished) they shouldn't be able to change what devices and what hardware you need to play it. At that time the minimum requirements SHOULD be set in stone. Updating it with patches after release should not effect whether or not you can play it after you have already purchased it.

Simply saying "well its a multiplayer game" does not justify their thinking. Because I can play on my own server and never use any other servers.

also you dont own the game you just get the permission to play it

2. You have a personal licence to play them (but Facepunch owns them).
so if they want to ban you for no reason they can and ive seen it some one being cocky saying the yahve cheats and got banned by a dev soo :D gl sueing over a mouse

yeah, don't get me started on that BS. That is the biggest bunch of crap anyone ever thought up.
My advice, sell your skins while you can. There won't be a market for them much longer.

If you didn't like it then you shouldn't have agreed to it, simple as that. Complaining about it being ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ after accepting it is pointless.
Also they haven't changed any of the requirements to play the game, they have just stopped the use of devices that defeat the purpose of the game.
The game is still 100% playable on the listed hardware page. I cant see any mention of peripherals.

"MINIMUM:
Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
OS: Windows 7 64bit
Processor: Intel Core i7-3770 / AMD FX-9590 or better
Memory: 10 GB RAM
Graphics: GTX 670 2GB / AMD R9 280 better
DirectX: Version 11
Network: Broadband Internet connection
Storage: 20 GB available space
Additional Notes: SSD is highly recommended or expect longer than average load times.

Yup, cause its all doom and gloom now people can't cheat. Rust is gonna go down the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ now for sure... 🤣😭🤣😭
I might actually come back and play now that every little ♥♥♥♥ can't fire lasers.

I agree. Hell, even the minimum requirements aren't enough to run this game. My rig surpasses the requirements and I still can't run it at all. For being a "full release" game, it should work. Facepunchstudios are constantly scamming people from marking this game as "full release" so there should be no bugs, and saying that the minimum requirements can run the game, when it actually can't. They've been doing this crap for years, constantly stealing money out of people's pockets and not refunding them. The bloody mouse update makes the game 100% unplayable unless you buy a new mouse. That being said, it's clear that all facepunchstudios cares about is money. That is absolutely ridiculous and no way in hell should they ban the whole mouse.

But hey, what do you expect? Facepunchstudios has been a company for 16+ years and has a huge list of unfinished and abandoned games and only 2 games that are released, but none of them are actually finished. Even though they say they are. Its a scummy business move that nobody seems to do anything about.

Wahaha, showing your age there with your comments. Show me a game that is bug free, you get a bonus sticker if its a AAA release.

When did I show my age in my comments? Also, no game is bug free, but no full release game should have this many bugs. Logic.
that tos in no way mentions or hints at blacklisting devices, your grasping straws.

Shows how little you know, or how little research you are willing to do. The division was a triple A title. It had a beta period, but that was nothing to do with the launch. It was full release at £50+ and sold with season passes at £20+ that us the buyers didn't see anything for over 6 months after buying them. But thats not even 1% of the issues the game had. But the point being that how many bugs a game has does not determine its state of release.
But you knew that of course because your so smart. You can convince yourself you won an argument as much as you like, the fact remains you make yourself look like an idiot.

full release should stand to say, at the very least, finished with little to no bugs.

game developers have gotten lazy in the past decade or more, some leaving games completely bug ridden, unplayable or simply abandoned and unfinished.

early access was a horrible idea, as well as some of these companies ideas to milk their customers with 100's of dlc that also happens to have bug fixes mixed in for the base game, along with outrageous prices, then you have in game loot crates, skins, ect...

back in the day it was finished games with little to no bugs and a few expansions and no drm nonsense.

only thing i like about launchers like steam is they created a central launching point for all games and provide forums for all the players to ask questions, provide guides or videos.
Exactly, the words "full release" kinda speak for itself. It should have little to no bugs. The developers do indeed not work on games like they really should've, just laziness at the next level. So they mark it as full release. Well I'm glad to see someone knows common sense for once lol.

Of course in an ideal world, full release should mean no bugs. Ever buy a car that had a manufacture recall? Ok so they should never have released that car because it was found to have a fault 2-3 years after release. Its like you guys don't live in the same world as the rest of us.

I do agree with the industry taking a turn for the worst. But unlike you I think that Steam played a part in ruining the industry.

Also back in the day it was hit and miss if a game ran on a machine, in most cases you couldn't return it because consumer rights weren't as good in the day.
Some of my best memories are sitting there trying to figure out which friggin sound card driver was gonna work with a game. Or having to reinstall windows because some game totally freaked out the registry.
God I love seeing salty scripters mad they can't play the game. Warms my heart

Hell yeah man, its a shame the pain and suffering they have from this isn't even a drop in the ocean compared to that they have dealt out with their cheating mannerisms.
