A4tech ban
So let me get this super straight:
Instead of making a better anticheat, the guys at facepunch just restrict lots. of people from using a mouse brand product because it has the ability to utilize "macros".
Two things wrong with this:
1) Other mice might have the same macro abilities as a4tech. Logitech is an example. This is literally discrimination against a consumer because reasons????
2) People who haven't used macros at all (innocent) are also victims of this ban. How is this even remotely logical? Where is common sense?
I am an a4tech x7 user and i proudly state that i have never used any macros in my entire life. My friend, who doesn't play this game anymore, would use his logitech mouse (probably g50, don't remember the model name, sorry) to reduce pr outright remove recoil from his guns.
Please tell me simply how this mouse brand ban is helping solve issues with cheaters?
By the way, if you want to ask me an irrelevant question of why i don't have Rust on my steam account, it's because i used to play on my friend's copy of the game on his computer back in the day.

Man stop playing dumb. The A4tech can't be detected because the script run INSIDE the mouse.

Then why all the commotion on rust's discord/steam forums? Have you thought about it for a second?!

Two problems with your argument:
1) You do not know how macros or anti-cheats work. The macros just look like regular mouse inputs (clicks and movements). They even have some randomness built in to make them harder to detect.
2) That is the point of those banned mouse brands. Their main selling points (as written by their manufacturers) are easily programmable, undetectable macros and "advanced weapon tuning." They are literally made to cheat with. Since you can't spend $20 for a new mouse, I have a new game for you to play: Go to Amazon. Look up Bloody Mouse or A4 Tech + "macros" or "scripting." Now look up Logitech plus "macros" and "scripting." Notice a difference?
Support crap companies, and you will find little pity here.

This has been pointed out multiple times. Its just the same handful of ppl at this point, willfully ignoring the obvious. I dont doubt that at least a few ppl didnt know that mouse was used predominantly for cheating, and that puts them in an unfortunate position. I honestly sympathize with them. But it doesnt help anybody to pretend not to understand the difference between bloody and the mice that havnt been banned. Especially when its been hashed over in about 100 different threads over the last couple days.

This will be for you shocking information, so before as read - close your eyes. Razer brands, Logitech, Corsair, Steelseries, Zowie, HyperX, Asus - works exactly the same as Bloody, have the same software and can also save macros. Why are they not banned, but actively pushed by developers? Yes, because these firms are more popular in the European market, and Bloody in Asia (speaking of Asia, I mean a lot of countries located in this part). A macro user will buy a Logitech mouse tomorrow and will kill you just like on Bloody. True, he will not buy, because the update failed. All this is fiction from the developer.

Not likely but there are bugs ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in your mouth all day so if it was a loophole it might work.
If they were doing this to improve the gamers experience then a simple exchange of mice would be a right thing to do in all this wong.
It's not for just playing the game but because these mouse users are now at least 50/50% considered to be cheaters and scripters.

This is what they are saying by this ban..use this mouse and you are unwanted.

Those mice were not built for cheating, hence are detected. A4 tech owns bloody and both brands of mice were designed for cheating by cheaters, that is why the mice themselves are banned as they have not been able to detect them otherwise.

You guys do realise that a guide has already been released that let's you bypass this a4tech ban? So like, not only did facepunch create more problems, they literally delayed the inevitable? Where is common sense in you, people?
