Searchlight not working
ive hooked up a searchlight powered by 3 solar panels that go into a battery and then into the search light and its not working
does it need more power or something cuz otherwise idk why its not working

okay so it works when its connected directly to the battery but not when it goes through a splitter
so is it because theres not enough power?

If you have a car battery powering your splitter then there's not enough power. Try a medium battery.

Yes, what Bubbles said.

The reason is because batteries lose 20% of their power so they only output 80%, so you can give a small battery 10 rWh but it will only output 8 rWh.

For a medium its 50, which means you can output 40rWh, and for large its 100, which gives you 80 rWh to work with.

I believe its called 'self-discharge' in real electrical terminology where the battery just diminishes naturally.
