Can not get on Rust server on my Steam Deck

Hey everyone. I just downloaded Rust on my Steam Deck and am having lots of trouble trying to get EAC for this game. I have tried everything I can find. If anyone has any help they can give me please let me know. Thank you

Long story short you can't play Rust on Linux and that's what your deck runs.
I thought I read somewhere that it's possible to play on non-EAC secured servers but I really don't know if that's true.

Which part? I don't want to play Rust on joystick controls or without my binds. I definitely do want a choice in OS other than winblows.

True. I would hate the joystick, but no EAC??

Imagine the kids who would ruin that experience pretty fast.
