wow.
Clean new download, I was gonna check out the game after a very long time
Froze my PC and after awhile it blue screened and restarted with issues on alot of other software from the abrupt cut off
What did they do to the game??
Only played yesterday but it takes a full YT video to finally load in
It used to be seconds. Oh n I put my GFX settings to lowest since yesterday which was my first day back, but doesnt affect this loading
Is there a way to have it load AFTER getting into a game?
And mayb only load the ones I need/see as I need them
Or is there some way to save the load instead of starting over everytime I boot up Rust?
Thanks for the correction, bcuz Unity has dragged down enough games and devs as it is
Never thought I'd say this but even Unreal would be better, pretty sure its free right?
I gave up a long time ago
1 hr seshions are free as many relogs as you want
8 hr seshion are 9.99 Usd with relog as much as you want
best way to play if you have a harde drive and not a SSD
Apparently Unity just doesnt make use of CPU which is in charge of compiling and processing (building the seed)
And instead throws it all on RAM which is primarily for fetching data (getting the seed)
Even longer ago, it used to be seconds
I think it used to keep loading in the background on low prio while you were in the game
I guess they thought it would b better to load it all before your in -no in-game loading lag
But I dont see why it has to reload from new everytime instead of using and updating previous data
Unless I missed something this is wrong
SSD accesses data faster, but in this case it doesnt matter since it's all dumped onto the RAM which is inferior to CPU when processing it
Same as above
Upgrading RAM is the only solution but we shouldnt have to
Since after loading, mem stays around 6gb in-game (for me, n obv goes up in fights)
It's that it keeps capping out during load that feels like your PC is ruined, freezes and lead to BSOD
Which is why upgrading RAM is good but that's just a duct-tape fix for a flawed memory usage system/code (aka memory leak)
But it caps out when loading in (asset warmup) -which causes problems for PC
This is bad memory management
I singled out the info for you as you may have been overwhelmed
If you can't understand it, then there's nothing else I can do to help you do so
I'm playing Rust rn on build server at steady 6GB
But it went over 11GB loading in
Edit: They deleted what they said, mayb they finally caught up
