I would recommend a new game. Something the devs have abandoned. That way you don’t have to complain. :)
How many bugs can a game possibly have if they have to issue updates every week. That's poor design.
Rust regularly has 100k players each day with servers able to handle 800+ players at once on a single map. Do you SERIOUSLY THINK a dev team of around 50 people will be able to catch all the bugs before releasing a content update EACH MONTH regularly for YEARS?
This is no "pOoR dEsIgN". This is the nature of a game of this size. Be thankful that you are getting bug fixes at all, because if we were in an era with games being sold in CD cases without Steam you wouldn't get ANY updates.
This IS poor design if it requires but fixes every single week. In truth, the bugs should have been worked out before the game was even released, kind of like in the days of CD games. Not having to do yet another bug fix update every week is a good thing.
Digital download is much more convenient than CDs, but that's no excuse for releasing a game full of bugs, then issuing bug fix patches every week for over a decade since release.
Poor design.
I didn't ask to be heckled, nor do I wish to elicit responses from Facepunch fanbois like yourself. I simply wish to know if they will eventually knock it off with all the updates every... single... week.
Get it together Facepunch! Either work out the bugs before release of new content or stop releasing new content. If you can't do the job right, just stop.
Frequency of updates is absolutely a valid reason. It's excessive, irritating, and indicative of poor design if they have to fix this many bugs every... single.... week.
You're being a silly goose.
Games nowadays are fluid, they have the benefit of being updated/tweaked as tech gets better. You should go back and play Legacy Rust if you want your CD version.
Me, I like the constant updates/changes/tweaks, the games ever improving.
When you post this on a public discussion thread, you have the very valid chance of being "heckled". Unfortunately for you, it does not appear anyone agrees with your point of view... I would recommend just letting it go.
I know you main offline games like Skyrim but online games are different, and their maintenance is a non issue, it gets waaay worst.
