FIXED: SOLUTION IN REPLIES: rust is running on 2 FPS 100% CPU USAGE;; HELP
SInce the minor fix or update idk what it was, my rust is running on 2 FPS and is using 100% of my cpu. That is the reason for why its running so low prolly too. Do you have any tips? yesterday everything was fine.

what did you change since yesterday? what cpu are you running and hopefully you have a good cooler

It happend to me aswell. I can play for a bit and then for no reason i drop to 2-15 fps and then my game crashes and all settings reset. Guess just wait for next update and hope they noticed

I did not change anything.
my pc specs:
AMD Ryzen 5 1600 6x 3.2GHz
AMD Radeon RX 570 8GB
16GB RAM
SSD 240GB Kingston A400

as the recommended cpu and gpu, there hasn't been any System Requirements updates. The game is getting to need more and more to run I would have to say you need to update the PC . Ryzen 5 1600 and the i7-3770 are very close to what is the Requirements and your gpu is the same. This coming update who knows whats going to happen. Just my opinion I cant be for sure but its a possibility.

That has happened to me a few times too over the last year. Temps and usage is all fine.

UPDATE:
There was an issue with my gpu. Solution that I applied and fixed the problem: I updated my driver. If you update it, its all done.

your right, its just the game. I have had no issues ever, I run the i9-13900ks and a 3080ti avg frame rate 175-187 fps but the low is 98-110 fps. So yes your Pc is ok for the fps running around 10 fps
