Growing Berries
Not sure if game creators come here but I don't know where else to post. I've been playing as a berry farmer and here are my thoughts.

The time it takes to grow a berry plant is way too long. I don't know about anyone else, but I do not have enough time in the evening during the work week to grow a single crop.

From what I've tested, it takes an hour under best conditions to grow out a berry plant. It is taking me like three hours since I grow via rooftop. If I try to plant, I run out of time. When I come back, they are all dead. I literally cannot produce enough to supply myself.

Is berry farming something only allotted for the fifteen hour per day players?

This process, under absolute worst conditions, should take no more than an hour start to finish. Under best conditions, fifteen minutes.

You are doing something wrong, and also depends on the server you are playing and if you grow them in the right conditions with fertiliser it doesn't take long, should be no reason for you not to profit from berries, the environment is either wrong, or you doing something wrong like fertiliser or something.

I can literally grow crops within 1 hour and have enough ore teas on official to farm efficiently.

Bro. I disagree. If you are providing perfect conditions and it still takes an hour, that's thirty minutes too long. You can overcome the time penalty by growing in bulk. But I also don't want to spend my time smacking rocks to maintain that base. Now, I would also be for increasing the growing time to 24 hours. Or even have the life cycle increased to 24 hours.

Berry farming just isn't setup in its current form to help a smaller time player. Thats why you don't see many berry farmers.

You went from one hour to three hours to fifteen hours. Im not sure why you made such a great leap. It takes about an hour and a half to grow a batch of berries, and if you place 8 planters and grow them all at once, you wont have to do it very many times to have enough tea for the wipe to use and sell.

So the answer is no, its not only for 15 hour a day players, but its also Rust so its not going to reward you with achievement points and shooting stars each time you open the game.
