Its perfectly fair. If they un-banned hijacked accounts you could just swap details with some one else, both cheat until you got banned,then claim your account was hijacked and get an un-ban. Steam provides the tools you need to protect your account from hijacking and if you get it hijacked then its your fault and no one else.
Your account, your responsibility.
He wasn't legitimately hacked.
That's virtually impossible.
Buddy got phished and used the same password for everything and now learned his lesson, if anything.
You cant prove it. If we swapped account details out side of Steam and cheated in Rust on each others accounts then got banned and claimed our accounts got hijacked how would Valve or FacePunch know we did or did'nt swap account details. Having a screen shot of an email from Stream support does not prove anything. If you used a VPN to login from a different location Steam support would not be able to tell.
Why should you get your account un-baned when its your fault? Instead of blaming others you should look to yourself your the reason the account got banned.
Have a good one man.
Nobody brute forced or got in to his PC files in any way.
Nobody guessed his username or password. I'm sorry you're pissy because I called you out on being wrong in another post about someone else being able to access someone's 2fa code.
Phishing=/=hacking.
