Unfortunate when you're legitimately hacked but they ban accounts, not people. It doesn't matter whether or not it was you who cheated. Unless you take extraordinary measures to disassociate your new account form old, the ban will carry over.
This is not fair really if my account got hacked they should ban the user who truly cheated they should have logs to check when it was last time i played, after the recoil update i played the first day and never played it again.

Its perfectly fair. If they un-banned hijacked accounts you could just swap details with some one else, both cheat until you got banned, then claim your account was hijacked and get an un-ban. Steam provides the tools you need to protect your account from hijacking and if you get it hijacked then its your fault and no one else.

It's perfectly fair because you could have used a VPN to cheat and pretended to be hacked.
Your account, your responsibility.

However, you're also held liable for whatever happens with an account, meaning unless you take extraordinary measures to disassociate your new account form old, the ban will carry over for ban evasion. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

He wasn't legitimately hacked.

That's virtually impossible.

Buddy got phished and used the same password for everything and now learned his lesson, if anything.

they should unban only if it is really confirmed that the account was hijacked because we all know its our own responsibility if we get hacked but when it is confirmed that you get hacked atleast to let you play in another account

How pretend? it is confirmed by steam support while i showed them the screenshoots and they confirmed that indeed the account was hijacked

What the ♥♥♥♥ do you think being 'hacked' means, exactly? Talk about what you know, not what you think you know.
i did not get phishing or anything because im very well aware and i have knowegle in these things how they work and how can you make them which im still wondering how did i get hijacked in everything i checked if i got ratted/keylogger i did not but i reinstalled windows anyways just to make sure and btw i dont even remember my passwords because i have different passwords everywhere when i wanna log in somewhere i mostly have to request for a new password because i change passwords every 3 months.

it is funny how you think you know me and accusing someone for cheating im into gaming since 2006 and never cheated once until 1 month ago when my account got hacked and received a ban just because of that i had to delete everyone from friends because im ashamed to have a ban into my profile friends and people thinking i cheated so that is the reason i moved away from playing because it bothers me everytime i open steam to see a game ban in my account.

You cant prove it. If we swapped account details out side of Steam and cheated in Rust on each others accounts then got banned and claimed our accounts got hijacked how would Valve or FacePunch know we did or did'nt swap account details. Having a screen shot of an email from Stream support does not prove anything. If you used a VPN to login from a different location Steam support would not be able to tell.

Why should you get your account un-baned when its your fault? Instead of blaming others you should look to yourself your the reason the account got banned.

it is really easy to know if it was a VPN or maybe BF and also how the account details got changed because when you lose your account all the infos change instantly and how they were made or simple like many other websites do not let proxy/vpn acces the steam browser/client

Yeah i understand brother that it is our responsibility we have to face with consequences it is time to move on maybe someday we would get help
Have a good one man.

Nobody brute forced or got in to his PC files in any way.

Nobody guessed his username or password. I'm sorry you're pissy because I called you out on being wrong in another post about someone else being able to access someone's 2fa code.

Phishing=/=hacking.
