Rust won't launch. 'Error 30005 - Create File Failed With 32' Unique Problem Please Help!!
Hello,

Suddenly my Rust won't launch and I get the message Error 30005 - Create File Failed With 32. I look online and plenty of people had the same issue. So I try all of the steps but have hit a roadblock.
I have gone through every YT vid and every single forum post and followed the steps to resolve. Nothing has worked. Their aadvice was > 'Browse local files then go to the Easy Anti Cheat folder. Then Run 'EasyAntiCheat_EOS_setup' as administrator and repair the file. However, when I run it as admin, nothing happens. EasyAntiCheat_Eos_setup will not open. It appears to try to open. A window briefly opens for a flash and then disappears.
So that's the roadblock for me. I cannot open EasyAntiCheat_Eos_setup to fix the error and no one else has had this issue (Story of my life).
Please help!! I will literally pay someone lol.

Thanks in advance!!

Bondy ;)

Yes found solution. I will put the common solution first, and then the more complex issue I had after.

If you go to Rust in your library on Steam. Right click, Manage, Browse Local Files.
Then go to a folder called EasyAntiCheat.
Run the EasyAntiCheat_EOS_Setup file and then repair.

I'm guessing you tried that and it didnt work. This is what you need to do....

There is a file we need to delete. But it's not that simple. When you try to delete this file it will give you a message saying roughly; 'this file cannot be deleted as there is a program running that is using it'. At this point you will open task manager and start killing processes only to find the file still won't delete.
So, what we need to do is download some software that can kill this process on startup. Then, and only then can we get Rust back!

I used 'LockHunter'. Like mentioned before it will kill the process on startup and allow us to delete this file in the following location;

Computer local disc, Programs (x86), EasyAntiCheat_EOS, EasyAntiCheat_EOS.sys

I'll repeat. The file you are looking to delete is 'EasyAntiCheat_EOS.sys'

Assuming you have now downloaded LockHunter (or alternative software), right click on the file 'EasyAntiCheat_EOS.sys' and you should see an option saying 'What's locking this file?'

Click and it will open LockHunter. There, you will have the option to kill this process on startup. Once you have restarted, reopen the folder where 'EasyAntiCheat_EOS.sys' is located and delete!

Yes, finally!

Open Rust and go kill some mofos.

Apparantly, the reason this happens is that this file will get rewritten every time you open Rust. Sometimes it will bug out and won't delete the previous version and thus Rust cannot write a new file in it's place.

So yeah hope this works for you. Tried to make it as clear as possible. If you have any trouble, hit me up again.
