which recoil? they changed it like 7 times.

let me guess, the one that requires very steep learning curve to master.
that the one? the previous one?

why do you want it?

let me guess again, you're tired of facing so much challenge now that everyone has a fighting chance without spending hundreds of hours in aim train.
did i guess right? you just want to gatekeep and dominate newbies.
(well thats why most people want it back)

nothing wrong with wanting a higher skill ceiling , people who put in the time to learn and master something should obviously be better than a newbie. the recoil update sucks

Rust is still one of the most played games on Steam. So it's not going to happen get used to it or move on.
MonkehMaster Dec 21, 2022 @ 12:52pm
we do not need the old recoil back, we dont need to have your pointless thread at "the top" as it wont change anything, also why are you @...ing rust like you are on twitter or some other BS.....

Lets bring back all of them and randomly use different recoil each time the weapon fires. That way everyone will be happy.

making little "s" shaped over and over is not a skill, its muscle memory.

It was a terrible time sink that added nothing to the game.

Back then you literally had to NOT play the game to learn the most important part of the game (the spray patterns). Its pretty terrible game design to force players to sit on aim train servers for hours and NOT play the real game in order to get better.

Its much better now that you actually have to PLAY RUST to get better at the game, and no lifers that sat on aim train servers making little s shapes with their mouse all day dont have a HUGE advantage over other players that actually play the REAL game naturally.

At least now the PVP is skill based and not "how long can you sit around and make "s" shapes with your mouse" based.

If you were any good at the game you should still be stomping newer players, who know nothing about monument and map layouts, efficient farming, base builds, etc. Actual game knowledge, not pointless time wasting muscle memory excersizes.

well said.

you pretty much nailed it. i don't think theres anything else that needs to be said about it.
i mean.. the counter arguments are pretty non-existent, theres really no real reason to bring it back.

Aim is muscle memory, you think pro fps dont have skill bc they practiced aim over and over? if you want to be good at it requires practice and time out of the actual game just like any game hobby or sport. if you think now they made the pvp more skill based by removing a core aspect and making it EASIER thus requiring less skill than youre stupid

You wasted hours and hours of your life sitting at your computer drawing little "s" shapes with your mouse. Who is the stupid one?

You're literally trying to argue that fights should only be won by the guy that can draw the best "s" shape lol

Is that your favorite letter or something? Is your name Sam?

in case these old recoil people dont realise.... rust isnt an esport, nor is it defined as a pvp shooter, this is a pve survival game with pvp shooting in it.

so that being said, we dont need the old recoil, we also dont need to waste our lives playing aim train, instead of playing the actual game.... you want to play pvp sim and play aim train BS, then go play cod or csgo and while you are leaving, dont let the door hit ya on the way out.
