What you advised him does not restore the accounts or help him, it only let's him cheat in the future if he wishes to and against EAC rules.
Myself, I think the guy was dodging the Rust ban making new accounts without understanding EAC will just HWID ban every single account connected to that HWID after a number of times.
That or whatever Rust cheat engine he was using was recently added to the detected list by EAC.
HWID ban evasion is very much against the rules to EAC, Face Punch and Steam. And why I said you should not just freely hyperlink in Steam fourms how to evade.
I like to think if this guy was cheating caused him to lose all his skin generating Rust accounts he uses to make cash on Steam Market - good.
There is no way a guy with 6k hours would not keep any ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ he got from playing unless it's an account made to AFK and farm ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to sell.
I get where you are coming from and i admit i too would jump to the conclusion he was definitely cheating but here is 2 videos to shed some light on to why he may not have been cheating.
This first video is where the guy gets banned skip to 36:50 where the banning process starts and it`s a official server so he gets banned by a dev.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TsZby78KprI
This second video is where he is now unbanned from same server where it looks like he was banned by holmsy because holmsy killed him with rock. He explains what he did via sending messages directly to the devs.

So after seeing this it shows we can`t jump to conclusions that players got banned for cheating and it could well be a false ban.
I totally agree with you and what you have said but the only thing i can add to your point is that regular players have to wait weeks for a false ban to be removed, whereas youtubers have direct contact with devs and because they make money from youtube their bans can be removed a lot sooner so it is easy to call cheats when ban is only a day old.
I agree they get special treatment but when you look at it that for many youtubers it is their only job and rely on it for their income and they get banned unfairly then that is revenue they are losing until they get unbanned,so it becomes a priority that it gets dealt with quicker so they can continue to make a income.
