garbage collector in rust
I have massive lag after the update, I was at 80-100 fps pre update and now I am at 20-30. I can't play like that, especially in fights this is so detrimental. I noticed that my GC is over 100 all the time, even if I start up my pc, start rust and join a server. Is this causing the lag?

I haven't looked at the GC count before the newest patch, but I'm usually starting at 40 or so and it slowly grows and I've had it over 120 or something after a very long session. GC represents dynamic memory management, which can be expensive but I thought this is the problem. Having it that high right away sounds weird, though. It doesn't make much sense that the settings would affect it that much but it might be possible.

I lost about an average of 30 fps. Last update I had a solid 90 fps everywhere. Now I get about 30-50 fps in buildings and 50-70 fps outside. My gpu with the new update runs at 50-60% same as last patch. I also have frameskip/choppy video when turning fast. I am sure they will fix it shortly.

I fixed this. It was this config I used:

now it's better. the fps is still 60 (not 90), but not 30 anymore.
