Map Button?

I notice in settings that the G key is listed as "show map". I press it, and nothing happens. Is this game supposed to have some sort of a map that shows you where you are?

You need to craft map first, and place it to your belt slot.

Great if you have to monitors ;) I always use it, very helpful.

A map! I got a map!!! :D I'm not sure I can use the map tool because my server is behind a router and I do not open the ports - LAN server only, not open to the Internet...but I'll check and see...
