how do you change your character's look and sex?

need help with character customization, i've heard the rumors that you can't change the character you've been assigned but that would seem just totally insane for me to grasp. i'm a man, i like playing as a man in my video games and the same would be for a woman am i right?
otherwise what would be the point? is that why everyone i come across in servers has a mask or clothe over their face? i can't accept that a developer would do that to someone who just paid $20 to help their game succeed, that would make it worse than the whole issue of the bathrooms and transgender issue, you would automaticly walk into a bathroom of their choice not yours.

game is first person, you only every see your character in inventory, even then unless you suck you will be fully covered in armour, stop ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Rust is teaching us that gender doesnt matter and its just anthoer way of dividing good people into subcategories of human that may make other consider that they are weird because they are so and so gender and less the human which is stupid. The human brain by default I beleive is flawed, I am not dogmatic, I could be wrong. But from my exsperiance it is.

I understand that people want to make there chararcthers cool looking characthers and pretend to be them so they often end up choosing there own gender as they feel when they make a cool characther having the same gender as that cool characther links them to characther as if they were the other version of youself, the cooler rust version.

But then if charcther custimization was allowed, it would be awfully boring with all good looking characthers running around the place (And a handful of Unhuman Looking troll charcheters)


By making it so you can customise, there is no discrimnation, everyone is different.
You appearence doesnt matter. Why do you care what other people think of you? Such a silly thing trying to impress other people with your cool looking characther, dont compare yourself to others when you yourself dont even know WHO you are.

Rust could be teaching us that Race, How your charachter looks, gender, is something that shouldnt be an issue and shouldnt be used as just anthoer tool to divide us, divide our love for each other.

Rust is a survival game, the human race did survive because it was the strongest, or the fastest, or the smartest, it is because we work toghther, loved each other, with compasion and love towards each other.

Race, How you look, or gender should not be a barrier that divides people, It doesnt matter.
You are human, You see, you hear, you smell, you touch, you love.


When you learn to you love yourself, when you find yourself. When you find you.

Come back and say again that you have a problem with not being able to customize your characther. For you then Have learned nothing. You need to learn that intelligence is to realise that I know nothing, we know nothing, nothing is certain.

If theres one thing Rust teaches us, it doesnt matter What you are. Its a matter of WHO YOU are. Who are you? Who is you? What is your content of characther to put it in the most simplest terms.


In conclusion Race, Gender, and Gentics dont matter, we should all love each other just the same, we shoulndt care what we look like, that is so so little of what makes us US.
We should be Know by our Actions and Content of Characther.

This is what Rust teaches us, It teaches us that we can do anything, No one is born with barriers beacause of there Effincity, Gentic make up , or sexual preferences.


Alas we are human, alas we are cursed. We know not of what we do to ourselves.

so let me get this right, in an advanced graphical age when we most gamers try to make our ingame characters look more like ourselves for the sake of imersion, here come Rust and says, NO............ you are now a bronze colored hairless female mutant, and that is ok, because gender is not important, get over it, get with the times, but even worse you can't even chose your gender, hey i have a great Idea for the developers, why not spawn as one of those half cabaret fancy women with the long cigarette stick on one side and the man in the tux with the mustache on the other half, i would even prefer that over this ♥♥♥♥

I'm very surprised by this discussion. I wanted to check if there was a way to change the gender of my character, and what i found? (Almost) philosophical posts (not only this, others posts too).

Let me hit another nail. Its fun.

1. There is no technical issues not to allow gender change.
2. The argument that you must to accept you gender like in real life is anti LGTBi.
3. Want to change from female to male is anti feminist.
4. Want to change from male to female is "open minded".
5. To kill each other and steal is fun.

I didnt know that this developers were so philosophical.
