Inventory management is part of the game as all kind of survival explorer. You need to learn what is important and create a priority queue for items.
The one thing that ruins this is helicopters. Having to keep enough slots free "just in case" a helicopter comes by and you need to get naked and remove weapons. Either that or heli shows up when you're loaded and it's a mad scramble. I've always though the "oh no, get naked" thing was just dumb, but the inventory impact makes it worse. Backpacks would help.
About the Chopper is how to avoid it by getting cover, not by getting naked.
Normaly players are around Loot Areas as Airport, Trainyard, Domo and those kind of locations.
You can hear the Chopper by far, you just need to get cover in any house, hole, underground pipe, anywhere that can give you a roof and 2 or 3 walls to stay still and quiet.
PS.: That kind of thing as "Chopper don't kill naked" isn't working anymore.
I was running to my house, a Wild Chopper Appears, so I get naked and was shoot as well.
I don't know if the chopper is just buggy lately or what. I've died in both cases, both naked and in cover. Mosty I don't have a problem with them, but once in a while....
I know we can make a Backpack in real life to hold more items,
but in real life we can't hold 1000 stones, 1000 piece of woods, bullets, weapons, food, all that in your pocket.
If your going to argue about IRL situations, we need to go to DayZ, you hold what you pockets can hold, there you can use backpack because of that.
The real thing is... Rust doesn't need a backpack because there's slot enought to everything you need and almost everything you want. This is inv management and you need to learn how to do it, it's part of all kind of Survival/Explorer Games.
If you don't know how to do it or how to create a priority queue for what you NEED and what you WANT, this means the problem is you, not the game.
I think Chopper doesn't care about anything, if he spots a human, he will hunt him down, doesn't matter the situation. I think you can just get cover and stay quiet to let him lost you.
Maybe the real reason was the friends we made along the way.
