Questions about base building.
Hey, I have been making a base in Fortify and I had a couple of questions regarding base design I would like to ask.

#1: Is square or triangle honeycomb better? I am unsure if C4 and rockets still splash and if they do how much worse it would be on triangular honeycomb.
#2 Would most raiders target foundations when raiding? I want to make sure I don't go overkill on walls only to find the entire tower collapsed due to the foundation being taken out.
#3 How much C4 should a base be able to take before the raiders can get to the main loot room?

Thank you!

elevation is good too. you dont want your loot on the first 2 floors of your base because 3 people can easily boost up into it if they find your loot room.
triangle better for honeycomb, yes raiders do target foundations (when placing a foundation u can raise/lower it, but watch for elevation changes when placing foundations). I try to keep the first couple levels bare(except at start) then place loot/sleeping room 4th floor or so and keep a couple floors above that as well.Building is one of the more fun things to do. Just keep trying and learning from your mistakes.

Triangles and squares offer the same amount of protection. 2 walls on a square corner are the same as 2 walls at a triangles corner. Foundations aren't generally targeted unless for a specific reason such as demolishing a base. Walls can remain floating even if their foundation is destroyed so long as the wall is still attached to another wall or something so it doesn't usually make sense to target that foundation.

To ensure that your base requires as much C4 as possible to raid implement these key features. Do not build a 2nd floor (Just go straight up). Do not allow for enemies to ascend from your first floor to the 3rd floor (do this by using a ladder hatch and a small wooden box used to jump up to it to open/close it). Conceal your cupboard somewhere deep in the base/honeycomb. Because you haven't created any ways for enemies to travel vertically in your base, they will HAVE to find your cupboard to go any higher. This is where the C4 cost can save your base. Not knowing where your cupboard is players will have to guess with trial-and-error and that often is enough to discourage a small would-be-raid.

If any of this isn't 100% clear feel free to ask and I will elaborate.

Thanks man I will try to apply these in my design!
