Are there any in game purchases in Rust? I'm not sue if i should buy rust and in game purchases would put me off

There are skins you can purchase for the various weapon / clothing types to make your character or clan stand out; otherwise there's nothing that would give you an advantage over other players.

Theres no pay 2 win in this game, there are only skins which you can buy as mentioned above ^

Also if you're planning on getting in to rust, don't let the harsh and toxic players get to you. Which is basically 90% of all the players.

Also get some friends to play with. This game can suck at times if you dont have sb to play with. It's a lot of fun tho.

But on lot of the server, you can just buy VIP and be OP.

Never played on a server where that was an option, and if there is that option than probably its a ♥♥♥♥ server anyway.

I'm playing on vanilla servers, the way the game was meant to be played, without the abusable Teleportation and quick gathering etc.

It's tough in the beginning...Definitely not impossible tho, my friend is playing almost always solo. He's pretty good anyways ^^

Solo can be fun sometimes if you're lucky/skilled enough.
But if you like meeting new people thats cool too, and it might happen occasionally... But don't put all your trust in to a stranger especially in this type of game, you never know, he might backstab you, so just keep one eye open.
