Unparking CPU
I saw a tip to improve FPS on RUSTOPIA.COM
Anybody tryed to unpark the CPU? Did it worked?
Does it do any harm to the computer?

Yes, it helps. It makes your computer use more power, so don't do it if you are concerned about your computer making your room warmer over time or you are worried about paying a bit more for your power bill.

You noticed FPS improvement? Doesn't the heat dmg my CPU?

You will get better FPS, and it does not damage your computer.

If you have Windows 10 setting power management to "high performance" should already disable core parking. However, if you want to keep your monitor sleep settings, etc you can just change this setting: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oh4VevhQWMA

EDIT: This should work in Windows 8 too. It seems only Windows 7 and older OS's were affected by this issue.

i've tested this on windows 10 using high performance power profile (100% for min CPU frequency) compared to the balanced power profile (5% min 100% max cpu frequency) and i have not noticed any difference what so ever on my rig in terms of performance for Rust. i get the same old 70-100fps on fantastic with my 970.
