If you have bear and pork meat, don't waste them as bait :p
Why i can stock so much meat i'd never eat it all. Pig meat is cake walk to collect and Bear you got to be smart about how you take them out but also easy to collect. Hint build a quick hunting tower where they can't attack you easy as that. Hunting tower is just a platform with a set of stairs on it works wounder's for bears and wovles.
Yes, after +1300 hours rust playing I know how to kill bears and wolves. But if you catch fish just for food, You're better of with cooked bear or pork meat.
Your right but he asked the question and that the best bait. Use anything else and most of the time all you catch is the tiny fish corn does work too but not as good. Plus if you got more then your ever going to eat whats it matter? I throw alot away and just keep the fat, cloth, bones, and leather because one large box full is more then enough. Plus don't you get XP for catching them? I'm not sure on that one it's been awhile since i used fish traps. All and when you hide your profile no one knows how many hours you have in game.
LOL ;D
