Rust skins are totally overpriced!
Hey ... I watched today some of the skins because I seen some in the game and some looked nice so I throw a view into the shop to check how much they cost and no ♥♥♥♥ - are you ♥♥♥♥ing serious ???
Over 5€ for one skin ??? What is this ?
Man stop this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥t - for so much money you can buy a full game!
Use some realistic prices - man this are single skins ... I know games where higher quality skins go out for free while you sell them for an overprice to stupid idiots and kids who not have an idea about money!

I tell you something - use some realistic prices for skins let's say till 50cent and more people will buy it - yeah sure some idiots and people who have no idea of money or can't handle it buy it allready but that's a rip-off you do there!

I only came in because I thought hey, some of the skins looking better than the originals let's see how much they want for it - but after I seen the prices I was shocked - thats pure usury!

Man for people who now say "yeah you not need to buy" or other who might complain about my upset - hey, some people really buy it and one buy 5€ and now calculate this up and imagine how many money they making for one stupid picture - that just indescribably - Im asking who makes this prices and how much does the people get who acctualy making them?
In other games some people do them for free and here they raid the people. Something you tooked from this CS:GOcrap - shame on you!

That's not cool!

You realise the skins are an option u are given some for free from the drops buy them dont buy them at the end of the day its a option
But he does have a point--skins don't help you in any way, so why even use them? Some glow in the dark, giving away your position. The only "helpful" ones are camoflauge. But I don't think there are any camo ones.
then why buy them simple

Agreed. The company doesn't need to be making so much on skins. It's not as though the company hasn't made millions of dollars in revenue from Rust to actually complete the game. More than $55 million in sales is adequate to profit and still finish Rust. Add the revenue made through skins on top of that and you will see quickly that there is no reason Rust shouldn't be completed yet. With the amount of income Rust has brought the company, Rust should be a better product than it is today too.

Yeah you must be a cheap ass to say that 2.50$ is expensive lol. Some people enjoy having theses skins in game and have more fun with them.

Just because a discussion is older doesn't mean it's not relevant at present. Rust skins have been a topic on and off for quite some time now. The ones that always seem to come up though are the subjects where Facepunch Studios skin scam people or capitalize on skins for a game that isn't even completed. With over $55 million on direct game sales profits plus the skins revenue, don't you think it's about time we see a finished game? It's almost been five years now and the company has made all that money on direct game sales (and more) plus skin revenue which has already made the company a substantial amount of money.

This discussion might be older, but it is still relevant today. So no, I will not stop posting about truth.

OP's just mad mommy and daddy won't buy him skins @ 5 dollars. he then proceeeds to bash people who actually have jobs and can afford such luxory items! Classic.
How old u r ?
also why buy when all the skins are free.Play modded and skin to your heart content. No need to pay.
My personal view - i wouldnt buy any skin - they add nothing to the game and are only cosmetic.
As the proud owner of a punishment mask, I'd say the prices need to be higher like they were before they made them affordable, now they are flooding the market with $1 skins and they don't have value like they used to.

It's been set up like this to create more turnover and profit. Lower prices mean more sales which is more profit in the long run. Too, it's been set up this way so that banned acocunts and repurchase of the game lead to more potential skin sales (which almost always happens) because skins are a dime a dozen now and Rust is a cheap game.

The changes made last year aren't to benefit skin authors. This was designed for Facepunch Studios to profit. The company doesn't care about skin authors. If they did, Garry wouldn't have come to Steam personally, to lock the discussion last year regarding the skin scam which the community brought to the community's attention.

Do some sample math on how much this company has made with skin sales alone in this past year. With only one skin cost, times it by a thousand people and take off Facepunch Studios' portion. Do this with three skins, four skins or more. Times those by fifty thousand people, the same way. You will quickly see just how much Facepunch Studios actually makes off of these skins.

The funny part in this all is that people actually make excuses for this company and Rust being incomplete still - after almost five entire years - knowing how much money the company has made.

Why are any of you bothering to argue with this person? He's irrational and lacks perspective, it's clear you aren't going to explain to him why some people decide to spend money on skins and why it's no one's problem if he decides to ignore the market. He's just throwing a tantrum because he wants rust skins and doesn't have the economic freedom needed to acquire them. End of story, who cares

Lol, the truth is they could take all your money and walk away with no finished product. It's called an EA disclaimer. If ppl want to spend their money on cosmetics, what business is it of anybody elses? They are continuing to work on the product, so where is the room for complaint? Where is the great injustice?
