You can check "windowed" in the first window that pop up when you click on the rust icon.

It is always technically windowed even if you dont tick the windowed box its really windowed borderless..

Use the Launch Options "-window-mode exclusive" (without que quotation mark) to force it in your Rust Steam properties.

Be careful not to Alt-Tab out of Rust, as the game might not recover correctly.

Hey i've been using that launch command for some time now and it's AMAZING. Everything just feels smoother and for some reason that i really want to know, when i get low fps like 60-80 (i have a 144hz screen) it still feels really smooth compared to other games where i get 60-80 fps and it feels like complete ♥♥♥♥? Why is this and do other games have this type of fix?

OMG Thank you for the command Rust feels soo responsive, and smooth! Altough there is no more Vsync now, there is screen tearing but I'll take less input lag over no screen tearing anytime! Thanks alot! And yes Alt-Tabbing will crash unity engine (Rust) now but thats fine by me since I almost never alt-tab! Im soo happy that the regular input lag is gone! Now it is an advantage over most people! That play without the command! ;)
