game crashes/does not load

My friend and I have problems with the game since the update. I cant get in since rust forceclose my game and he cant stay in the game longer then 20 sec and then the game freeze. Anyone knows how to fix it?

Same problem here. Less than 30 seconds in and the game crashes. Been playing for years with no issue. I didn't play last wipe though so I'm not sure if it's related to this patch, or last month's. i7 and a GTX 1080. I updated drivers, verified file integrity, and did a fresh install of the game. Nothing worked.

Same, i reinstalled and make an exception at windows defender and crashing at prefabs

I crashed once on prefabs, every other time was within about 30 seconds of spawning and just randomly wandering around the beach. I can't narrow it down to any specific action that I'm doing that causes the crash. My PC is more than capable of running this game and has ran great for years, so something must be up with this latest patch.

same not even 20 secs of being loaded in i crash everything in my pc is updated and everything and i still crash nothing will work ive been trying to figure this out for 2 hrs

I get a Disconnect Exception (cs 73394) Object reference not set to an instance of an an object. Material.Get Material Property Block (Unity Engine mat. Checked all of my plugins and rechecked all prefabs that were just used in last map. Which worked great.

Is Steam still running on your PC when the game is frozen? Or has it closed itself?

Same problem. game loads and after a few seconds it crashes (freeze). There had never been a crash before. tried reinstalling the game

I have never had rust crash before. After This new update though I have experienced the same crashing issues.
