Rust Stuck At First Loading Screen

I haven't played Rust in quite some time and have recently stumbled over some YouTube videos that show the game has had quite a few updates. I wanted to give it a go and updated rust through my steam. since I've updated it the game launches fine but the literal first loading screen it hits it gets stuck at and does not move on.
I've looked through many forums and help pages to look for a solution but have come up empty handed. I have tried uninstalling then reinstalling the game to see if that would help but still, no change. Please respond with a solution or even just some tips on how you think this problem could be resolved.

What text does it get stuck at ?

my games shuts itself off for some reason

It's literally the first loading screen where the only text on the screen spells 'Loading...'

my game was doing the same stuff. Updated graphics driver and restarted computer, and game started right up.

Make sure everything is updated if nothing works reinstall it only takes 40 mins
