How is this game for coop only?

My friends and I would start our own private server (if possible) and just play coop together. Is this one fun, or is it basically a PvP game?

It's not a "PVP" game.. it's a survival MMO :L meaning that basically firstly there is no singleplayer and no "coop" at least in the way you think of it you are more than welcome to get yourself and your group of friends together to make a base and survive on a server but getting your own private server and playing together without anyone else on it will get VERY boring very quickly Rusts fun because of other human interaction and that doesn't just mean PVP it could be trading with others, recruiting slaves, having a painter (someone who is gd at drawing) come make you signs for a price or whatever else the game is no fun alone and it's not fun if you're not playing with other players. :/

Its 100% pvp, you cant go 2 seconds without someone rocking you to death, or 10 people raining arrows on you

That wouldn't happen on a private server. I'm just wondering if there is coop to be had, AI enemies to fight? I heard something about them removing zombies. Is the survival difficult enough to give a challenge without PKers?

Not really. There are bears, wolves, helicopters... I'm pretty sure as of right now that's it. Hunger wouldn't be an issue at all. It wouldn't be a bad way to learn how the game mechanics work I guess. Maybe you could set up on a smaller map and PvP with rules? Cause PvP really is a big part of the game.

I think rust in general was developed as a MMO but as in the aspect of the chance of meeting others players, I think people have wanted people to group up but I am personally not into that because I hate people.
