Unplayable game, too big queues on good servers.
Wtf I already paid for this game, and now I am supposed to buy a VIP for skipping the queue which btw is longer than 200. It takes like 3-4 hours if not more to go through that queue. Nice game facepunch. Pls fix.

If I pay for a product, I expect to get the full experience from it, and it comes from official servers (from facepunch's point of view).

At the moment I can't do that, so their product has a flaw in it.
Dude, you are right. Unfortunately you will get 12 year old trolls who think their wokeness masked in hostility is cool, mixed with a desperateness to suck the elbows of the game dev's, they will defend everything to their death.

Where is your logic in thinking really?

You want to get in line because the wait is worth it, you do just that.
Otherwise you choose something else...

Devs dont need to solve your personal issue of being impatient.

As I said it's purely a "you" problem.

To address the other posts; if you're not running into 50 players you're either outright lying, playing on aimtrain, or you're sticking in the ocean where people don't like to be.

Anyway; high queue time is not their problem, 200 people is already double the regular supported number for most servers and is likely the maximum recommended amount of people with a good server, else everyone is always everywhere and most of the land is taken for bases.

No - the full experience does not come from facepunch servers, it comes from Community / Modded servers which has active admins and often different stats, plugins etc.

Your sense of entitlement is amazing, you're going about it completely wrong, you have multiple options of what to play on and where to play but you're ignoring them and continuing to complain about a non-issue; if a server is constantly capped in players, play on a different server or be quiet and wait in queue like the rest of them; or, choose to buy the vip if you want to play on that server and only that server without waiting in line, it's an optional service.

Yes of course I take the entitled perspective as a customer of Facepunch. And as a company, facepunch should eliminate every aspect that is preventing THEIR customers to use THEIR own product. Otherwise, what's the point? And yes there is the option to play on community servers, but the first option, and the official option that facepunch want's us to use, are the official servers. So I'm going to use them...

This seems like an impossible problem to solve, but i'm just pointing out the problem that is preventing me to play their game.

I have never seen such problems with other games tho.

Horrendous logic.
You've been presented with alternate options, you have numerous options and the experience is far better with said options. You bought the game; that is what they sell. Their official servers are just that; somewhere to play. You bought the game, not the server to play on.

Black Friday people wait in long queues, only so many people are generally allowed in stores at a time for Security, monitoring, and overall prevention of chaos for places that know what they're doing. They're not preventing customers from entering their store overall; you just have to wait your turn.

Traffic lights hold up so many cars based off of pre-determined timings and/or sensors, you pulled up last - should the light change just because it's an inconvenience for you to have to stop so others that were waiting longer in the other directions can go first?

Their product is the game, their server is optional, the weekly skins is optional, VIP is optional. No one is saying they want you to use it; it's there because it's official, anything beyond capacity requires waiting.

Either buy VIP or sit in line and be quiet, else you can go to a server where there's plenty of players and no immediate queue, with active mods/admins that prevent cheaters unlike the facepunch server.

You've been given solutions, pick one.

"Other games" generally arent as popular or otherwise have the playerbase stretched out on specific servers. Even some CS:S servers have queues, as do Garrys Mod servers, and many other games out there depending on popularity; with very long queue times due to the people that play and how long they play.

Or, go make a 500 slot server and let us know how that works out.

Okay, but the bottom line is this: If there is something that annoys the customer or makes them not want to use their product, there is a problem for that business.

Yes, on Black Friday's (that is a good example) there are long queues for the particular store, and that is a problem itself. The store would sell way more if they had figured somehow to fasten the queue and make people go in and out faster.

Now, I don't care if this is solvable issue or not, I don't care. It just annoys the ♥♥♥♥ out of me that I have to wait 1-4 hours (depending on wipe days) to get in to their official servers. And don't give me that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that I bought the game and not their servers... The servers must be included in the purchase, otherwise what's the point of the whole game if there is no servers? Is a huge corporation like Facepunch going to depend on community to make servers for them? Nah I don't think so...
Mad Scientist Jul 30, 2019 @ 10:59am
No, that's also poor logic. There's plenty of "karens" that have complaints based on a false perception of what should be vs what is. You bought the game - which is the Product. Everything after that simply is a Courtesy, such as an Official name-brand server, having too many players doesn't mean they need to do anything when there's so many options available, especially when they have numerous servers and other servers have the same exact specifications as them; vanilla, slot count, gather rate etc. That's a user-error problem.

You being annoyed whereas most players have patience or select other servers doesn't mean there's inherently some super global issue that must be dealt with and must be dealt with now - as that's some karen level stuff right there.

So yes - you bought the game which is the sole product, and they provide a Courtesy of having official servers. People spend money to make and host their own servers and they're completely superior to FP servers. Nowhere does the game state that buy buying the game that game servers are included or guaranteed, it's a Courtesy and nothing more. VIP also helps pay for hosting servers - which even many community/modded servers provide as an option to keep the optional service operational. FP can likely afford the outright costs, but it's business; an offset of operational costs by giving someone an added benefit that gives no advantage in the game itself other than being able to enter first; hence VIP. It's not like they're being given M249s, launchers, rockets, c4 and a copy/paste base at coordinates of their choosing.

They're also not so much of a Big Corporation; they're listed as only having 11-50 employees, which is not a "Big Corporation"; they're a small company. It started with one person that made a mod, do you think every game that sells high copies is some huge corporation? Plenty of Indie games sell tons of copies and they're as little as 2-3 people.

Game = Product
Official Server = Courtesy service

God if you dont pay for VIP then dont feel so entitled...

If everyone had access to same lobby all the time (stupid logic because of real player limits of a server) then what benefit would separate VIP players who pay for this benifits get?

But a VIP, or wait in line like everyone else.

How about you use you're brain and hop on right at wipe or play a server thats a few days old? you could probably find a decayed base to get a head start cause if youre new even if you got on the busy servers you would be complaining about KOSing

Do you think I haven't tried that already? When the official servers wipe, they have +100 queues in literally 5 minutes and I'm not even kidding.

Nah, I have been there it is still much more fun when the server actually has players in it and you can actually kill something.
taliban member Jul 30, 2019 @ 12:51pm
Also, that would require me to schedule my entire life around a video game, which I'm not going to do. I play whenever I want to, and if the servers have +100 queues on them, I close the game right away.

And I'm sure a lot of people feel this way about the game.
ggty Jul 30, 2019 @ 12:55pm
You want full servers but always room for you.
taliban member Jul 30, 2019 @ 12:56pm
As I said around 50 queues is reasonable, but man they have like sometimes like 300 when they wipe. And that is the preferable time to start playing.

Other people are smart enough to try a different server and lose the entitled attitude as they learn the hard way how things work.

Jesus, do you seriously think that I have not tried different servers. I have almost 700 hours of playtime in this game...
