But you have been proven guilty. No red text on a profile is innocent until proven guilty. You have been found guilt of cheating and thats why you have the red text of shame. The software found evidence of you using cheats. thats not innocent till proven guilty.
Its not toxic to ban you and its not toxic to find you guilty after the anti-cheat has detected you cheating. How do you expect EAC to respond to you? The anti-cheat has detect cheats on your end. What do you think EAC, Steam or Facepunch can do. There are no stored demos of all you matches on a server some where that some one can watch and even if there was the amount of people who appeal would mean nobody would have the time to go through every demo. The systems are automated and they do not tell people why they are banned for good reasons.
4 day(s) since last ban
This is all great, and yet I did not cheat.
So your precious ANTI CHEAT does not work, and is not infallible despite the assumption that it is. That little red text is there because EAC has not dealt with my appeal - which will vindicate me if what they state is true.
I literally am a casual player who played on low pop servers for a couple weeks recently, then rented a server and invited freinds and family.
I had admin rights and we just had fun. No need for cheats EVER.
I am a 41 year old professional working within the community services sector, who played casually as a means to wind down after long shifts in crisis situations. I take very seriously accusations of wrong doing, and will continue to advocate for changes to be made in relation to EAC in its current broken form.
They do address the cheaters, but as it always has been it's a game of cat and mouse.
Look here; https://twitter.com/rusthackreport/
Also search the Rust forums here for "Banned for nothing" - "Banned for no reason"
They all got caught cheating no matter what they lie to you about, I have seen 3 on these forums get unbanned for a mistake since 2015 - So yeah it's always being addressed, just cat n mouse as it's always been.
I like how you can draw from anecdotal stories which you can find on the page 1 on google about EAC only making a mistake 2 times out of 20000 people.
FACT is i didnt cheat, so i guess im in the minority. No doubt there are plenty of cheaters out there, but I am not one of them. I'm not even disputing this to get back into the game, that ship has sailed for me now. I am disputing it because its the RIGHT thing.
I filed an EAC appeal and not yet got a response. And judging from my deeper search into this, there are plenty more genuine examples of this that exceed the quoted numbers from EAC that have been ignored by the appeal process altogether.
The entire system is broken, and the ensuing witchhunt is a disgrace.
Well as the Op here you can save yourself by explaining the following:
1) Why do you think you got banned unfairly? Were you running a script or something?
2) Why did your friends also get banned?
3) Why did you recently lock down your profile as private?
4) Why is it that the rust cheat sites are now all talking about how their users are getting banned and what will the hacking devs do about it? <<<--- this is the most amusing btw ;)
Problem is none of us nor EAC know you so everything you type could be the truth or it could be a lie. How would we kno The only thing we do know is that this forum and every other forum like this is filled to the gills every day by people who, like you, say they did not cheat. You can see the problem cant you?
If you didn't cheat and your appeal (If you made one) was unsuccessful, we all know why, no matter how much you protest and cry "i didnt cheat" - We know different!
it's fun - just don't take it serious.
To me it definitely stays enjoyable. There are PVE Servers and even modded ones that make you see the game from a different perspective and even now that Hardcore came up I got to build a little stone base even tho I got attacked here and there. All in all most important thing is to keep in mind we all spawn naked with a rock, we all loose loot, and after Wipeday everyone is back at being a starter. Biggest kill for the game is most likely having servers with same zerg clans over and over. Aaand the trolls that pretend to not cheat but have never played fps for more than 5 years. KEKW
If my wipe goes bad I go watch some good Rust Movies like "house of cards", do some garden work and find motivation to try a newr base.
