How Do I lace A Large Water Catcher?

I have been trying and trying to place this large water catcher but it wont let me, no matter where I go on the map I cannot place it. I hope somone can tell me why?

click on it while its in your inventory and read the description. Some things have to be placed on certain surfaces or over certain objects, I.E, water purifier needs to be placed over a camp fire. Hope this helps.

I have read the description, It doesn't say anything about how to pl=ce it, just says it collects water to drink. When I looked on YouTube I seen videos of people just plopping them down like nothing, so Im like, why cant I. lol

I have yet to place a large water catcher so Im not sure. but maybe try to bring it closer to your feet when you place it? also, what kind of server are you playing on?

It a community server. No mods and its and American server. Iv tried bringing it to my feet, tried further away, tried roaming the map with it. I have tried fro over an hour. lol I have quite a few hours in this game and im pissed I cannot figure this out. lol

Maybe it has to be closer to your TC? I dont know. Im new to the game so Im just spit balling. Hope you find the answer.

Np. If youre looking for a Duo/Trio partner for NA West servers. Im looking for more experienced players to help me learn the game. Im decent at PvP/shooters. Just need help with learning building designs.

We might could do that. You could friend me on steam and we could work out a server to join when the next wipe happens, but just to let you know, I have been raided several times so no matter how I advance or improve my building designs I still get raided periodically. plus there is a crap ton of info I dont know about the game yet, so I would not make a good Rust role model. Also I suck at pvp in these kinds of games, I tell other rust players if I want pvp Ill play battlefield 1

build a 2x2 and plop on the roof. are you actually trying to place or just watching the color because it might just turn orange, that still throws me off sometimes.
