Hackers
Can you guys do something about the unlimited amounts of hackers you have in your servers? How can you charge somebody money for a game that you don't even regulate? I spend lots of time gathering up resources only to be shot in the head by a hacker on the other side of the map, who then flies to my body and loots my stuff.....

Ditto. The game is unregulated and therefore unplayable. The root of the problem here isn't necessarily that there is an abudance of cheaters, its the simple fact that the damage done from a hacker can literally put you right back to square 1.

Hate to break the bad news to you but this game will never be finished nor hacker free. They actually bait hackers to feely wreck innocents so they will eventually get banned and buy another copy. It's part of marketing 101 in the video game industry of today which even Valve does it. This is why WOW sold so many millions of copies more then half of which were people buying the game again after getting banned. Other game publishers and developers took note of the tactics Blizzard used and followed this model as best they could. The sad truth is Rust was pretty good before it became very popular and cheat developers took notice.

Sadly Facepunch is such a small studio that preventing the majority of hacks would put them out of business. Hackers themselves are paying customers too and developers need to make money or they can no longer develop. If you want to change the industry create your own game and find a way to get the funding needed to defend it.
