I never said you shouldn't be able to raid. You shouldn't be able to take someone's structure. I worked from 1 am to 5am farming and grinding for enough resources to get a nice, two story house going with armored doors, large chests, a repair bench, and 3 furnaces outside. I got back on earlier this evening, and it had been stolen by some ♥♥♥♥♥ that raided me. I would have been perfectly fine with a raid, it happens, whatever you know, what drove me to the point of "I'm not playing this game anymore" was the fact that they stole the house.
You absolutely should ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ not be able to do that.
Raiding is part of the game and without it Rust would not be as popular as it is today.
If you dont want PvP you can search for Community Servers where PvP is not allowed/deactivated. You think they will remove raiding because you ay you wont play it anymore? Hahhaahha
There was never anyone anywhere near me.
Then your house wasnt safe enough. For me the most fun part in the game is to build bases and always trying to make it more safe.
As I've said several times, I don't even remotely think that raiding shouldn't be a thing, you shouldn't be able to take someone's structure. You shouldn't be able to remove the building privilages of the person who placed the cabinet.
Welcome to Rust. You must be new.
I've got 94 hours in the game, house stealing should not be a thing.
Raiding is perfectly fine and one of the staples of the game. I've been raided hundreds of times and do not get upset about it, it's to be expected. But stealing someone's house should not ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ be a thing.
Then rust is not for you. Try find a single player game that like rust. Because in rust nothing is safe and anything is up for grabs.
Some of my best bases I had was in other people bases. I also took over old bases and made it my own.
How can you justify being able to take a structure that someone quite possibly spent dozens of hours on constructing? How can you say that it's a good mechanic and makes the game more fun?
Let me tell you; You can't. There is not one single upside to having the ability to taking someone's house and claiming it as your own. It is by far one of the worst (intentional) things in the game, if not the worst. And it'd be a very easy fix, just change tool cubords to not allow people other than the owner to change ownership. If they just made that one little change, that only owners can change ownership, the game would become infinitely better.
Good thing no one gives a ♥♥♥♥ about ark.
