We get it, you dont like Rust, you dont like Ark. You dont seem to like anything. So Im not sure why youre here talking about a game you dont like.
Are you hoping that someone will convince you to like it or are you just ♥♥♥♥ posting on a game you have no intentions to play? Either way, youre kinda full of ♥♥♥♥ my dude.
Go play a game you like. Thats what Steam is for.
Beacuse you progress in rust much faster than in ark. In rust, if you play well and have a team, you can get to end game first day of wipe. The end game and the pvp in ARK is well more advanced than in rust. Additionaly, in ark you can jump between servers, which you can't in rust.
Just you get bored on rust withoup wipes, its very swift game.
EDIT.
Lol, just saw its that long conversation, didnt see that 6 pages. So gonna enchance my reply a bit.
So, Rust has much less content, and focus more on PvP. It's just way more simple. Game is much faster, you build bases, get gear, learn blueprints quickier. Rust end game is recurring and faster to get, which leads to getting bored.
You can excatly see why there are wipes, when you see server's population curve. On all popular unofficials, on wipe day you have full server with high queue, then on day 3 or 4 it gets down really bad, day 5 its almost, or full dead.
Jim thinks you have obviously never been offline raided. You just log in one morning to find some hooligans just jacked all your stuff while you slept. Jim thinks personally weekly whipes are too fast, you could never grow a good cornfield that way. But Bi-Weekly and Monthly Servers are just fine. Maybe you should try Rust for a wipe or two on a monthly server before you spew such opinions.
So Rust needs to be more like that game that's "not for you" and caused you to give up?
I dislike the two games for separate reasons. I don't like Rust because of the wipes, and I don't like Ark because it's not designed to play alone and I find it hard to keep friends on there.
You don't seem to realise that the Rust wipe cycle is specifically to avoid the thing you don't like about Ark. So if they gave you what you want, you'd just be back to what you don't like about Ark, in Rust. I don't think these kinds of games are your thing.
In Ark you can play single player, and set all the rates for XP and resources etc to whatever you'd like. In Rust you can join empty servers, and use modded ones specifically if you want to make the single player experience easier or more interesting.
But you're suggesting that they turn this game into Ark. This argument makes no sense anymore.
Simple fact is that if the servers don't wipe there's 20+ man zergs with 10k hours apiece who will occupy every single server leaving nowhere for you to play and they'll never get wiped. This isn't Ark no matter how much you're suggesting that it become Ark and there's no 10 hour taming etc. Instead, final tier items are gathered within the first hour by good groups while others are still waiting in the queue.
The servers would be dead within 5 hours of the first wipe when the local zerg has a box of AKs and goes raiding, the playerbase realises they can't even farm bps for next wipe and no wipe is gonna start them back up on an even playing field. It's just over. You go offline and you're done. You stay online and you're done. The next server over is already dominated and the zergs occupy all the high tier zones where you can quickly progress. You're now farming scrap along the road and just hoping you never meet the zerg, who are now the only other players on the server. You are playing rust pve.
