HIGH RAM USAGE INGAME 85%
I getting high RAM usage average 85% ingame, but cpu, ssd, gpu is all normal.

It's never like this when I play another games such as Cyberpunk, CSGO, GTA 5 etc.

I searched on google some says it's memory leaked?

My windows 10 updated to the latest, including steam apps and already verified game files. Also I already set my Rust setting to the lowest (graphic)

this is my pc spec:-

CPU: RYZEN 2600
GPU: RTX2060
RAM: 8GB X 2 (dual channel) 2400mhz
STORAGE: SSD 500GB

How to fix this? please help me.

this game uses alot of ram
Garry doesn't know how to code properly, what else were you expecting?

Dude can't even update rock textures without having to resort to wiping everyone's progress to such a degree that it became a base feature of the entire ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game.

But it's fine back in 2020, after the big update everything changes.

12-14gb usage is normal for rust.
there is no "fix" that any of us can do.
the game basically loads every asset into memory
when you load into a server.
Heavily modded servers are even worse for the amount of RAM usage.

Also the graphics overhaul added an additional 1gb/1.5gb
to the average amount it takes.

Neither of the games you mention need that amount of ram. Rust does because of the way it handles things. The more players in the server the higher the ram usage and it will keep increasing with each new player base created.

8gb of ram is rarely enough for games now anyway. You should upgrade to 16gb atleast

After doing some research on google. I actually found a fix using a software called: Mem Reduct. Now my ram usage down to 65% below

not at all it's like a memory cleaner on phone. everything run smooth after that.

I wish people would learn that having empty ram does not mean your computer is ok.

ram is like time...... you cannot save it to use it later, having free ram is a waste, what is the purpose?
you going to have 16GB when you never need more than 8, so that you can "save it up" and use it when you need 24GB?

if your computer is short of ram or you get close to 100% then go out and buy more.
but even if it reaches 100% it will swap to disk.... and that will REALLY tell you you need more ram.

oh.. .and your "i found this program Mem Reduct", shows how little you know about computers....
" The program used undocumented internal system features (Native API) to clear system cache (system working set, working set, standby page lists, modified page lists)"

actually it makes the performance of your computer WORSE, by cache flushing and destroying the memory management systems,
Just so you can feel warm and fuzzy about "free ram"

tl;dr Just spend more $$$ instead of expecting a game to be properly optimised.

Having all your ram used is absolutely a bad thing, You will get stutters. you absolutely will have issues. Your computer is never doing just one thing. For real, 100% ram use means something is leaking.

This game does not fit wholesale into 16GB of ram, it has to assigned intelligently and efficiently. Filling it up with stuff you don't need will slow you down when you actually need to load something. God forbid you try and alt tab with no free ram.

Your time analogy suits cpu far more than ram.

my game is stutter at 85% ram usage, Rust windows keep freezing for 20 seconds "not responding" and I can't even open OBS for livestreaming, but after using Mem Reduct, everything goes smooth and I can play Rust + Streaming with no issue.

true, I can't even alt tab to desktop with 85% ram usage, it's takes time to load.
