Rust mouse cursor stuck on screen.

I've seen quite a few people with varied solutions to the cursor getting stuck on screen, none of them seem to work for me aside from restarting my game, which if you're on a high population server you obviously can't do because of wait times.

If anyone has a solution that isn't various alt tab cheat code style combinations or unplugging your mouse, I'd like to hear it.

If you die with the chat box open you will respawn with your mouse cursor on the screen and you won't be able to 'press any key to wake up' until you press ESC to make the invisible chat box go away.

I've had this problem muiltiple times, nothing I was able to do besides restart the game or just leave it there.

Open the Inventory then unplug your mouse USB, close the inventory and plug it back, work most of the time.

I just noticed, you said you tried it already. It fixed for me but not for my friend, It's kinda weird how this glitch works.
