Is it okay to use crosshair x?

A crosshair does not interact with nor affect facepunch services. It's just a simple overlay. A PNG slapped to the middle of your screen over the Rust window, or even a piece of tape if someone is desperate enough. Does not affect any rust files whatsoever, nothing.

a crosshair is not a cheat. You just dug a hole for yourself by posting that comment and you can't get out of it.

No, you can't say it's a cheat. You'd be contradicting yourself.

Might as well call "having a better PC" cheating because you have an unfair advantage over people with lower specs due to having higher FPS and lower response times.
Oh, you also use external voice apps such as discord so you can talk with your clanmates over long distances without other players hearing you? Yea guess what, that's cheating too!


Programs such as discord or teamspeak give waaaaaay more advantage than a crosshair will ever give, but they are not bannable even though they are 3rd party programs.

It’s not a cheat, and a lot of new monitors have a crosshair setting built in.
