Server IP Blacklisted for fake player count?

Our server gets low pop (around 20-40 players) and all of a sudden my server isn't showing up on the modded tab or favorites anymore. I open a support ticket with Facepunch and get a very short reply from Holmzy "Servers were showing fake player counts."

I emailed back and said this is not a possibility and it must be some sort of error and that it's a bug if this is an automated system, and if not automated it was human error.

And then no response.

I am on a dedicated box with my own IP addresses and have had this IP for years. There has never been a Rust server on it besides the one I have.

Has any one had this issue? I want to prevent this happening again but don't know how. I'm afraid my new IP is going to get blacklisted as well. I have my AFK kicker turned off but I dont think that would trigger it, the server ranges from 5 to 10 people at night and then 20 to 40 people at day. (well not anymore since the blacklist)

(conspiracy theory lol: If you're not a big monetized community like Rustoria and you start gaining population does Facepunch blacklist your IP?)

it was a modded server you said right, maybe your using a mod they hate, oh lets say the "♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mod, what ever the name was of that again, i know they bloody hate that mod, because you can add ALL workshop skins for FREE to your server and oh boy do they hate that. :]

this is just a guess ofc, no facts pure speculation on my part.

the devs dont hate the skin mod, its perfectly fine to be used, heck they used it on the OTV server when they were doing the first event for the OTV and friends skin drop.

also yes, that word is blacklisted by steam, steam moderation added it to the filter, because it was used frequently to post and advertise fake skin gambling sites to phish peoples accounts.

I doubt very much Facepunch 'hate' the skinbot. They have a more than steady revenue stream with skin sales. One of the key fundamentals to Rust is making it more toward an open domain gaming experience. Not saying its 'open domain’ however Facepunch in the terms and conditions are open-minded and flexible about creator/3rd party content. In comparison there are very few games that give this flexibility to end users/server admins. Hence this adds to its popularity. As server hosts/gamers we are not fully as the behest of the developer.
If Facepunch really took 'hate' to the skinbot they would, with ease, ban it.

any server can use it, the devs dont care, i played on a server that has used it for years.

UPDATE, i opened a new support ticket with Facepunch and they unblacklisted my original IP!!! I am so happy they looked into it!

update on this, I got some cookie cutter response explaining that the server lists are different for every player etc. but in the meantime I did some googling and found our server IP is listed on the facepunch manifest for banned servers. I've replied on the ticket with this so I guess have to wait and see what they say. No idea why we're banned

ummm this is incorrect by miles.

The Rust devs have used skin box in several showcases.
The skin box author Killyou is respected by them, in fact he has worked directly with them several times.

Stop spreading false info like you know anything about what they want when you are clearly pulling crap out of thin air and claiming it as FACT.
