I say its worth the money 100x over, but thats just me.
Best part about the game is there is regular vanilla, or booosted vanilla, or even just crazy modded ♥♥♥♥. Def worth ur money.
Not a dead game

Play a solo server, aim train or x100 +.
Don't play vanilla no group limit when starting.
So many negative reviews are from people who did that.

The one real downside with rust is the fact that a lot of people play with fake steam accounts because got caught cheating, most still cheat. They're very easy to spot too and it gets annoying.

It isnt for everybody, its a tough and brutal game. That said, it is certainly NOT a dead game. Its been one of the top games on steam for years now, and still has a huge population.

worth every penny, game isn't dead at all, watch the amount of players tomorrow after friday after the wipe. the devs are doing an outstanding work with this one, it's a masterpiece in my opinion.

Totally worth it. If you don't have teammates, play in a solo server to learn. don't go to official ones, you'll get pwned by clans or zergs over 10 people. Learn as solo, then look for people to play.

In my opinion, Rust is the greatest game of all times. But I have to be honest, it can get really toxic too. You can grind for hours and lose it all if you are not careful enough. If you have company it's an amazing game. If you play solo you must start playing in low population servers before you move to larger servers. Cheers.

Rust is #18 on player count chart. That's no where near dead.

It can be a rough start with a steep learning curve, but once you get the hang of things, it is very fun. You basically play Rust the way YOU want to, either alone or with other people.

I can recommend Willjum's Solo only server on EU. It is a very popular server, great community, so you get less toxicity. People are generally pretty good on the server, but you will also get a lot of tips and tricks from experienced players.
