Any idea how to do it or if facepunch just lied to us?
i really want to rickroll my raiders.
Update : At the moment, only admins can play streams on the boombox :(
I've made a suggestion on rust website, feel free to upvote it so we can maybe have our own streams one day
https://rust.nolt.io/24366
Seems not, we have checked, even for the serverowners cant do it..
you do need it to be either .pls or .m3u filetype for getting it to work (from the stagebranch and it did work for us there)..
Now i also, see that someone else wrote : according to FP on their website, only server admins can add them using convar command BoomBox.ServerValidStations but when I try adding them on my server nothing works.
we where able to place our own links in bro, its been blocked right before the DLC came out rendering it useless to me with crappy preset radio stations.
People in the UK need a licence to listen to BBC stations live even through the game.
or face £1000 fine
I'm having trouble getting custom URL's to work as well as my internet radio stream currently isn't playing through the in game boombox. But this is the way to do it. It's even on Facepunch's dev blog.
Server Admins can add additional stations that might interest their players. Use the BoomBox.ServerUrlList convar to add stations (eg. BoomBox.ServerUrlList “Test Station,www.teststation.com”)
That might not be the answer you want. But there it is.
The average player that has purchased this DLC in hope of playing there radio stations exactly how it was days before the DLC came out now can not play any music bar crappy presets.
The change is massive in my opinion. And a full refund should be offered to players, same old thing with facepunch, they never want you to have fun always restricted.
Allowing you to paste your own presets ingame into the machines has now essentially been blocked.
no reason given. It was all fine days before the DLC dropped.
If you read this do NOT waste your cash.
Utter scam !
FIX IT FACEPUNCH !!!
FIX IT SO WE CAN PLACE OUR OWN LINKS IN.
This is the most sneaky DLC release in history.
#You will not get any money from me here on till you fix it.
You could really help us get custom radios for everyone
