How do people use different ADS sensitivity

What i mean by the title is, yes its very good for controlling recoil very accurately, but what if i need to really quickly while adsing switch to another target? it would use my whole mousepad to switch to another target thats like 5 meters apart, ( i could turn the ads sens up but then i wont be able to control recoil as good) and i find it difficult for my brain to handle going from a super low sens to a high sensitivity if i had to stop adsing to switch to the new target. how do people get use to using this?

I have 2 sens and I switch it with a button on my mouse

U could use a binding like that, it decreases ur sens while aiming
