Electrical Wires bugging
its really annoying that they sometimes dont work eventhough they should. I get the concept of inputs and outputs so a wrong scheme is out of the question. I connect a power input to a generator and it doesnt work. But when I redo it for the 10th time then it suddenly works.

Why is this?

I spend alot of time laying all the cables and then on the last cable it still shows up as empty. But when I redo the exact same system for like 10 times then it suddenly works.

Why doesnt it work on the first try? I literally spend so much time relaying the exact same cables.

What is the device that is giving you trouble?
Without more information of what the circuit is suppose to perform and the components used, it's hard to help in any way.
A lot of how Rust electrical mechanics don't relate to real eletrical circuits.

a simple generator to a splitter or a switch or a door controller or a siren light

the issue is with the wire tool obviously

Well some simple key things to understand about Rust eletrical is every device including passthrough devices you woupd think should not draw power like throw switches, draw 1v.
Lights also take 1v to power to energizes them and 1v is loss at the pass through. That's just how Rust made them.
So if you want to power 5 lights it will take 9v on that branch circuit.

You did not mention any batteries, AND, OR, XOR, BLOCKER, COMBINER circuits so it should be easy to trouble shoot.

No you are misunderstanding, I know how to wire things up.

The problem is that it doesnt work, I have to retry it sometimes up to 10 times before it finally works. On the same input outputs.

Always need to check the basics first when trouble shooting.
Anyways if you know your circuit, then you should be able to pin point the problem spot and go about it anther way the game wont bug out.
I dont know if your breaking a voltage limit or the splitter dividing an uneven number - might start there.

Sorry man I appreciate the help but either i'm not explaining things clearly or you're misunderstanding what I mean.

The circuit is FINE! the wires just bug.

I'll give you a very simple example:

One Generator
One Sam Site

1) You use the wire tool to wire up the Generator to the Sam Site
2) It doesnt work
3) You use the wire tool to wire the Sam site to the Generator
4) It doesnt work
5) Go to step 1 again
6) Repeat a few times
7) Now it suddenly works

nothing is changed with the circuits. i understand how to do basic wiring. It is a bug with the wire tool not working sometimes.

got similar bugs earlier fix is simple - stop using noclip ^^

thanks i'lll try this later. Maybe that could be the reason cause im using it as an admin with noclip/vanish. Hope it helps
