Ping is high ONLY on Rust?

I have 300mbps up and down fiber optical connection. My ping is perfectly fine on all other gaming devices I have. Even on other games, but when I play Rust my connection constantly goes from around 30 ping to 2000. I constantly rubber band everywhere. Has anyone had this problem and fixed it? Or can anyone help me? Ive updated and reinstalled all internet drivers too, and there is no bandwidth limit in place for anything.

Yeah I've been having the same problems but only at night on any servers. Recently I reset my internet settings, deleted rust, then restarted my modem, then connected back, redownloaded rust and i haven't had a problem since. That was a few days ago tho!

I use a ethernet cable tho

Im having a similar problem with rust only, ping is fine when joining at first but then I get a Disconnect Time Out message like 2-5 min into the game. Tried everything I could find in the web and the problem continues. Already tried wifi and cable and same issues

Weird because my ping would go up to 4000 for like 3 seconds but i wouldn't get timed out.

I am joining an official server in Atlanta and I live in Alabama. The ping is 38ms so there should be no problem connecting to the server.
