Cant progress missions

I am on my 2nd mission now that will not progress, please help. It said "get 50 low quality fuel, build furnace, place furnace"
I got the fuel, stone, and wood. I then built and placed my furnace. I got check marks next to "build and place furnace" but the collect or craft low quality fuel is stuck. Last time this happened i restarted the game 6 times and it fixed itself. This time that's not working. What do I do? I have little time left to get a refund and am leaning that route if noone can help this get unstuck

dont try and do these missions they are just tutorial they give u absolutely nothing in game just play the game normally
