2nd problem, not enough mem.
3rd problem, fast graphics.
4th problem, Rust is not optimised.
Laptops are not gaming laptops, even the high end ones, alot are out dated the moment you buy them. Im sure some people manage, but its not the proper purpose for the one you have as your NOTEBOOK is not a laptop, its a notebook. [insert fanboy blind defence here]
You can get a mem upgrade for laptops, its not expensive and easy to do your self. And dear jesus 4 gigs is not enough this game can use up to 6 for some people. That plus your OS and other apps..
Why fast? I mean I run fast and high detail but cos I can with no issues. Turn them down. Wont lower your 7 minute load much but.. Whats your fps with that setting?
And to end my rant, Rust is a pile of high performance and rusty nuts holding it together, some people need systems over max specs to run it at min specs, some people run it fine, others cant for no apparent reason, as said, not optimised, wont be for a long long time considering the re imagining of the core game like they keep doing. (yeah I know improvements have come, chillax)
Probably sound like a ♥♥♥♥ wrighting all that, but not meant to. Buy something better or keep struggling. Nothing anyone here can do for you.
Don't listen to this guy at all, even with an SSD you're still limited by the speed of your ram, which is what the game actually loads to from your hd when loading the game.
Here is an example of a great SSD that increase your decrease your load times significantly: https://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-120GB-2-5-Inch-SDSSDA-120G-G25-Version/dp/B00S9Q9UKS/ref=sr_1_7?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1478337233&sr=1-7&keywords=120gb+ssd
And the loading thingy depends on HDD and ram.
The maps are huge. You gotta expect that.
I have a bad laptop. 8 gigs ram but standard graphics card. Is there a way to upgrade my graphics card quickly and cheaply and have the game run decently? I can run games like rainbow six siege and Skyrim without issue but this game is just an anomaly to me...
That's insane. Developers shouldn't make a game that needs more than 16 gigs. That's like telling someone they need a super sledge to play baseball.
