how to prevent ladder raiding?

kind of new to the game but i understand the basics, i just dont know how to prevent someone from ladder raiding. even if i put an overhang cant they just ladder up, drop explosives then re ladder inside?

1. Use barricades, place them 1 foundation away from your base's walls.

2. Use traps, turrets, etc. on your roof ( Expensive.)

3. Reinforce your roof with more half-wall ceilings that are stacked.

Easy!!!!! Think abit a base that you can put roof s outside like a flipped umbrella... And on the flipped roops put so floors and on them put meral barricades...
