7.1 Surround Sound audio bug! Help would be appreciated!

So i just reinstalled the game and played it yesterday for the first time in months, and upon getting into a server i noticed that all the audio coming out of my headphones seems very "Distant" and really muffled too. I've tried every audio preset available in the game and nothing sounds quite right.
My headphones are Razer Tiamat 7.1 V1's.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

And yes i know this isn't posted in the right channel, i made a post yesterday and nobody replied, so here we are.

did u choose 7.1 in the rust settings? xd

Ya i did and that's the one that sounds the worst oddly enough... I've never had this issue until now.

i have nearly the same headphones, but i got v2 instead.
BUT to be sure, are you 100% sure your soundcard even support 7.1?
And if the v1 has a extern sound control unit, if it does, have you checked if the 7.1 symbol is turned off or on?

Ya my motherboard has built in 7.1 surround support, no soundcard needed. And ya i believe the V1 and V2 Tiamats both use the same control unit and yep it's lit up. Like i said before though, i've never had this issue until now with Rust. Every other game it sounds just spectacular in.
