Removing VAC ban

So I logged in to Steam today to a message that says I have been banned by the developers. I have over 1300 hours in Rust and have never attempted to cheat. I get this is your typical boo hoo excuse from legitimate cheaters, but I seriously didn't cheat!

Only possible thing I can think the ban is for is AHK running on my PC. Now I know everyones going to assume because I run AHK I cheat, as if Rust is the only thing AHK is used for.

In a nutshell I run one of the biggest dirt leagues on iRacing, and as dirt on iRacing is new, they don't have proper gridding methods for dirt racing formats with heats and stuff. I had a teammate offer to write me a script that would pull the qualifying results from the 2 exported CSV file, sort them into proper heat groups and print it to a text file. Last night I ran our league race and then after it was done went and played some Rust...and didn't turn off AHK...Can you be banned for AHK simply running in the background. If so this strikes me as a load of crap because now I have lost tons of money in skins, as well as access to a game I have 1300 hours in. NEVER have I ever been guilty or caught cheating in ANY game I have ever played....to cost me time and money like this for what I think is nothing more than a program that I use for another game running on my PC is a load of crap! I'm all for cleaning out the cheaters, but if your only way of doing it is pegging people who are completely innocent sometimes is a piss poor approach and definitely needs to be re-thought...

Anyways rant over, can you guys help me out with getting this resloved and point me in the direction I need to get help with this?

Also this is a game ban and not a VAC ban, so it would seem that I need to somehow get in contact with the dev team at Rust/FacePunch...Not sure where to go to achieve that.

You probably cheated with a secondary account like 100 thousands of players everyday , EAC's new version detects even multiaccounting and other backpedal cheating techniques, though it still not good enough , the game still has more than 50% active cheaters on most servers at all times.
Thats why i would love to see RUST on console (PS4 or Xbox X) where nobody can cheat, i would instabuy

And btw: how come you haven't a single archivement in RUST after 1300+ h? You must be one of that "just a good player" who does not even need to craft a campfire or a stone hatched in his whole life, you really really skilled

I simply asked for help phisher. I would rather be a guy with no acheivments in 1300 hours of Rust than a worthless troll so down on himself that I feel the need to try and boost myself by dragging others down. The internet is full of people like you, it's rather sad honestly. We're all tough behind the keyboard my dude.
