Banned policy
Rust uses a 1 ban = all accounts banned system. If an account is banned, then all other accounts linked to it are also banned (for example if you use the same PC). - from Orkel (Facepunch Studios) Rust technical support.

just got banned on my other account cause i got hacked and then i bought the game again so i can play rust AND I JUST WASTED MONEY
Posted April 15.

according to this, you got banned, bought the game again and are claiming to be banned again.

the account you made this thread with and the review, is not banned and owns the game.

the friend that randomly appeared on your account, has a game ban (Zaikii-Senpaii), im inclined to believe that is an alt account and not your main account.

if you didnt actually cheat then you need to create a ticket with facepunch support and provide all the information you can, including your steamid for the banned account.

no one in this forum can help you, nor would us looking at any of your alt accounts do a single thing to help you, go talk to the devs.

"The EAC ban cannot be removed regardless of who was using your account at the time it was banned. While we understand this can be frustrating we must have a zero tolerance policy for cheating to foster a fair game that players will enjoy. In order for a zero tolerance policy to be effective we must hold users responsible for the security of their account."

It's your "son's" fault for getting his account compromised.
You can't blame Facepunch for trying to create an in-game environment free from cheats

If they unbanned accounts for simply having an IP address in a different country then all a cheater would need to do is use a vpn and say his account was hijacked in case he got caught.
For all they know, you could've just used a vpn.

Also yes, rust does hardware ban to prevent cheaters from simply making another steam account, purchasing the game, and continuing like nothing ever happened. But again you can't fault Facepunch for trying to weed out as many cheaters as possible to make the game as fun as possible for others, and if it means that a few people get their accounts banned because they couldn't secure it properly then so be it.

You know what's even more stupid? Not letting people play a game because they have a mouse devs don't like. Facepunch can go get punched in the face.

More like a mouse that most cheaters use! There’s no reason to buy a bloody mouse other then to cheat soooooo

You should have read their terms before you bought the game. Nobody from the development team will read your post here. You're literally ranting against a wall.

And trying to circumvent the language filter in this forum will get you banned. Just saying.

A VPN would still have IP which is not my country. Also, IP of anonymous vpn would definitely be in the abuse IP list. Right? A hacker would use anonymous servers to really hide their IPs. Think please, common sense.
I would love to have this magical list of VPN IPs. Also consider the fact that anybody can pay for a server in almost any country and use it as a VPN.

Without this policy people could just stage it all and get away with cheating. Turn your VPN on, cheat away, then complain that you were hacked because the IP was from another country.

People do. Some do many, many times...

We have confirmation email from steam to prove this claim. Which I also believe steam have the timestamp for it. Maybe, the right thing to do is ask steam about the reported hacking and the time it was being used to cheat in Rust. That would really be fair, right? But, for the developer, they would not go that far just for a single account. It is easier to just banned the account and less work for them.
What if I get my friend to "hack" my account so I can cheat? How will anyone know?

so your review tells a different story....

https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561199015005195/recommended/

if your going to make up a story, atleast keep it straight across all areas lol.

also the account your using right now owns rust (little mouse icon next to your name shows us this), but has no game ban on the account, so you most likely got server banned for toxic/racist behavior.

also you dont need to post that you got banned in other peoples forum threads, spamming is against steam forum rules, just like bypassing chat filters.

Facepunch and Valve don't ban account, they ban the user who is cheating on the account, thus the account gets banned, and every account this user plays on in the future. How can people not understand this? And this lie about "My account got hacked" is getting old, no one believes You. Stop cheating.

QUESTION:
- cheating happens in same computer( mac address of PC, Windows version)?
- cheating happens in same IP address?
- cheating happens with same steam account?
- How do you know that my steam account is logged in with my son's pc? (this is the biggest question?)
Since you are not banned by EAC then none of this applies. Nor does the 1 ban = all accounts banned rule.

It doesn't even look like you're banned on Facepunch servers so what server are you banned from? That server wouldn't be run by the developers so you're blaming the wrong people here.

He said he got banned on his other account, and used this account to give it a bad review. Watch his profile and reviews.
