Furnaces Keep going when you log off?

I've been playing for a little but and i was wondering: When I log off on a server with 50+ people on it, does my furnace keep smelting? or does it stop? Do I have to stay on and go afk or something for it to keep going?

yep.. keeps smelting. but smoke from your chinemy sends a signal into the air and lets others know your making something in there... and they'll door camp you and shoot you right in the head

I have a cave base. Does it still show people? I have a regular furnace.

haha he's having you on pal and nope it will smelt all ore inside until it gets full then it will automatically switch off
