Where can I safely buy skins?

The Rust Item Store has exactly 8 skins total in it. I noticed the workshop, but every time I try to buy something from it I just get an "oops" error. I did get some skins from the community market at one point, which apparently opened me up to being sent unsolicited phishing spam from hackers trying to get access to my steam account so they could go on Rust and get my account banned for their hacks. It's kind of weird there is no way to report that to Valve or Facepunch or something.
There are a lot of shady sites out there selling skins and I am leery of those. What am I supposed to be doing? And why can't I buy workshop skins? That Peacemaker Roadsign set looks pretty sweet.
Also is there a way I can earn ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ or some other way to get them? I noticed I had some already from somewhere before I even bought them, and I played on a server that has some interestingly skinned items whose skins would be cool to have - I think they might have had a way to get them but I forget.

Wow. ask where to buy skins and no one can tell me? It's still very weird I can't buy in the workshop - who do I even contact about that?

I just wonder why the Workshop has links to buy skins but they don't work. It seems that people create skins for the Workshop and they do get used on some of the servers I play on, but I have no idea how to ever use them myself.

steam market is safest and fastest. I used to use opskins but they're sell keys instead of skins now. n their prices were always a lil more expensive than the steam market. But used to not be able to sell h1z1 skins through steam. Sticking within steam is always the quickest too. Third Party sites always take a lil while for the bots to transfer the skin. My 2cents is stick within Steam when you can.
