Last I checked Sheet metal and armored do not have soft sides and are immune to tool damage.

You could also join a modded X10 server and test it easily and somewhat fast yourself

As people said they have soft side, but the soft side is for what it is worth equal to the strength against explosion and that is the only way a sane person would try to break them down.
Same with sheet metal.
